Atsma states this in his memorandum ‘Fietsen in Nederland…een tandje erbij’. The memorandum lists a number or measures to promote cycling in the Netherlands. Besides arguing in favour of construction of fast bike paths, better maintenance of bike paths and marketing campaigns, the MP also suggests some financial arrangements. For instance a study whether the limit for a company bicycle plan (currently 749 Euro) should not be raised. He also suggests a discount on additional health insurance premiums if people prove to commute by bicycle at least half of the time.
