Both the bike track and the commemorative activities are based on the life and work of the world famous Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh, born and raised in Zundert, in the province of Noord-Brabant.
The Van Gogh-Roosegaarde track is equipped with special technology, which uses twinkling stones to evoke images and sensations of a starry night. The track was constructed by Heijmans from a design by Daan Roosegaarde.
The track is some 500 meters away from the water mill and is open to the public. It is part of the Van Gogh bicycle trail in the province of Noord-Brabant and of the hiking trail leading past the van Gogh heritage locations in Nuenen.
