This presentation strongly positions bicycle policy within a wider traffic policy framework. In the introduction a short history of the town is provided, as well as demographic data and geographic and economic characteristics. The current traffic situation is described (a.o. congestion, parking, public transport, cycling), as well as traffic policy. Bicycle use and how to promote this are positioned within this wider framework. Bicycle policy pays attention, among other subjects, to bike paths, bicycle parking facilities and maintenance.
