The Netherlands are internationally famous as a country of bicycles. But over the past 25 years other countries, regions and towns in Europe have made great strides ahead as well. There may be something to be learned for the Netherlands, particularly in the realm of co-ordination and co-operation. Consider for example the German AGFS-model, the English ‘Cycling England’ or the Flemish mobility convenants.
