In five towns street maps have appeared: Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam and Utrecht. There are even several versions in Amsterdam and Utrecht. Major arguments in making a street map for cyclists concern the issue which routes to incorporate. Three alternatives are possible: 1. all bike paths and bike lanes; 2. simply the main bicycle routes or 3. a selection of recommended bicycle routes.
