Velocity Nantes 2-5 juni 2015

's Wereld grootste fietscongres vindt volgend jaar plaats in Nantes (Frankrijk) van 2 tot en met 5 juni. Als fietsland nummer 1 kunnen we hier niet ontbreken. Ook biedt het ons een goede gelegenheid om reclame te maken om Velocity in 2017 naar Nederland te halen. Daar profiteren we allemaal van.

De Dutch Cycling Embassy (DCE) wil het initiatief nemen voor de organisatie van gezamenlijke presentaties, door een beursstand en door aanbieden van sprekers.

Gezien de inschrijvingstermijn voor beursstand en call for papers (31-10-2014) willen wij uiterlijk voor vrijdag 17 oktober het volgende weten:

·         zijn er deelnemers die als spreker willen deelnemen. Zo ja, met welk thema

·         zijn er deelnemers die aanwezig willen zijn met eigen stand?

·         zijn er deelnemers die aanwezig willen zijn in een Dutch Cycling Embassy Stand / holland stand?

Hoofdpunten Call for papers voor Velocity – deadline 31 oktober

·         Deadline indienen van een voorstel, is 31-10-2014

·         Je voorstel moet je online in dienen en moet o.a. bevatten:

§  choice of approaches and themes that your proposal will be related to

§  your choice of format

§  summary of your contribution

·         Criterium sprekers:

§  Basically, all players involved with cycling - policy makers, technicians, researchers, associations, consultants, journalists, developers, manufacturers, service operators, town planners, sociologists – are invited to contribute to Velo-city, along with anyone who is working on a cycling-related project (cycling policies, research, business activities…) or who is passionate about cycling (bike tours, citizen initiatives…).

§  Let er wel op dat je presentatie onderscheidend is en iets nieuws brengt; onze ervaring is dat toehoorders niet zitten te wachten op weer een verhaal ‘Holland-op-de-fietspromotie’.

˜  Taal: Engels of Frans

˜  Selectieprocedure:

§  Abstracts will be reviewed, assessed and selected by a Review Committee. The list of selected abstracts will be confirmed by the Organisation Committee.

§  It would be preferable if the abstracts were not submitted to or published by another public event.
