Waiting-post

Traffic lights are a nuisance to both car drivers and cyclists. But in a car all you need to do is keep your foot on the brake. Cyclists have to balance, stretching one foot to the ground, or dismount. If they remain on their bicycle, they can quickly take off when the light turns to green. The Swedish designer Marcus Abrahamsson found a solution in the form of a post.

This post offers cyclists a foot support and a handle to hold on to while waiting. The foothold is covered by a non-slippery metal grid while the handle enables the cyclist to remain in his saddle. One Dutch municipality has shown an interest already. The Swedish supplier is called Nola (www.nola.se).
