The bicycle use on the British National Cycle Network increases 10% per year. The Network comprises 8200 miles (in 2003). One thrid is exclusively designated for cyclists and pedestrians, the remaining part has only little traffic. Sustrans co-ordinates the Network covering 450 local governments and other parties.
