The implications of ‘Duurzaam Veilig’ (Sustainably Safe) on the opportunities of guiding cyclists through residential areas have been investigated. The BABW regulations should enable authorities to regulate priorities on bicycle routes in 30 km/h areas, is the conclusion of the authors.
